No, not a pub…just another random sight in Dublin

Random things in Dublin

What are the chances of running into a Norwegian brass band on Merrion Square…?

Would you trust this man with your food?

Marco Pierre WhiteBunny enjoyed another great night out in Dublin recently (it has sort of become a tradition spending my bank holidaythere), and perhaps one of the highlights really was dining in Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse and Grill..the food and wine was delicious – and the girls were perving over the dishy waiter (second from the left)…clubbing later in stuck up Krystle was just boozy….

Lovely!

Full moon over Hannover Quay…I feel some spumante is in order!Full moon

Corky

Kinsale by night

KilbrittainBunny likes County Cork. The city itself is nice, but the rest of the area and especially Kinsale is definitely worth a visit. Here testing out the twilight function on my phone from Man Friday. The name Kilbrittain also makes me laugh…even now, knowing that kil means church ;)

Grand Canal Night Out….

Ely HQNight out at Ely HQ, it has been turned into a gastro pub since I was last there, which means a slightly less interesting menu, but also lower prices….and still good service and wine :D We noticed that the lights were on in Colin’s flat, and also had a prime view to the film set of Raw, the Shane character being bossed around to walk in the rain…apparently they are pretending that the block of flats next to Ely HQ is a hotel….obviously, the Grand Canal Docks is where it all happens…

Smokin’…

AshtrayThis cool ashtray from Urban Outfitters could make anyone want to take up smoking…or at least wish they have friends who do :D

Feel like a very good bunny for buying for the balcony of where I’m staying in Dublin :D

Goes well with the funky table too…yes, of course it is a Pylones

Whiiiiiirl!!!

Great bag from Avoca

Bank holiday weekend in Dublin…

Rugby …started with girly dinner and lots of wine in the Bridge Bar & Grill…we stalked Colin and knocked ginger on our way there…enjoyed the tuna very much…not sure the staff was quite so happy that we stayed until all the other guests had left, but hey…

…then on Saturday off to watch Munster vs Leinster in the Heineken Cup semi final…and as Leinster very suprisingly won, great celebration in Kiely’s , reportedly textual harrassment of the players going on, hmmm…should have gone for the Westlife option instead :)

Sunday started out as a plan to watch the second semi final over a pint in O’Neill’s, great otdoor area by the way, and ended up as a bit of a lash in Whelans, getting elegantly wasted…

…all in all a great bank holiday weekend in Dublin…Monday was spent lunching in Avoca, very handsome service and found loopy bag :D

The Stiffy by the Liffey

Bunny has been to Dublin quite a lot lately, and one of the things that always cheers me up is the sight of the millennium spear, also known as Spike. It is officially called the Monument of Light (as it wasn’t erected until January 2003, typically due to delays with planning permissions). Have also heard it referred among other things to as the Stiletto in the Ghetto, probably as it sits on the north side of the river and was part of the regeneration plans for O’Connell Street.
