Who’s a Toby?
Bunny is starting to feel the toll of a week of splurging out…lunch at the Toby Carvery was good too
Light on life in London and the UK
Bunny is starting to feel the toll of a week of splurging out…lunch at the Toby Carvery was good too
Bunny and friends went for it at the Gaucho Grill in South Kensington…I am still full, but it was the best steak ever - worth every penny and calorie
Bunny found Italian restaurant where they serve prosecco by the glass…bellissimo! (food was very good too, and they allowed me cheese on my seafood risotto)
All prepared now for upcoming trip to Bologna
…but the Fish Place in Vicentia Court looks promising…
Checking out El Pirata Detapas in Westbourne Grove…delicious tapas, however what really got us going was the bar menu…speak about liquid lunch
After a week of late night socialising AND full-on stress at work plus long days of shopping for Kitty, we opted for an easy outdoor dinner at Battersea Rickshaw on the Square. Enjoyable Indian cuisine, and the waiter and chef did their best to adhere to Kitty’s dietary requirements. Arriving quite late we were probably also the last guests to leave, well, what can you do about those late night licences….?
Bunny still loves riverside living. What is better than a leisurely stroll down to the Waterfront for a cold drink and some snacks? And in in the evening, dining in Thai on the River… OK, perhaps slow service, however great food and a great view while we were waiting…and two free glasses of wine for the delay…
Bunny had the pleasure of dining in Axis at One Aldwych with good friends. The reviews all state “a stunning new design by Mary Fox Linton and a new Modern British menu from former Marco Pierre White student Executive Chef Tony Fleming”…and guess what; they are right!
Also, great service – and you can’t beat a 3-course meal at that standard, including wine and tea…at just over £50
Not finding a knight in shining armour on your night out in Soho? Or just a tad peckish? Why not try Princi in Wardour Street…sort of an Italian McDonald’s - except from that Rocco Princi is also known as‘the Armani of bread’. I loved my pizza swimming in cheese..but it was impossible to find a seat…
Post note: Went again – the olive bread sticks are a must try!!!
