Light on life in London and the UK
Taking helispotting to the next level, Bunny spent the day at the Farnborough Air Show. To my great amusement, my mates were the most fascinated with the A380…what is it with boys and the size of toys, hmmm….?
After a week of late night socialising AND full-on stress at work plus long days of shopping for Kitty, we opted for an easy outdoor dinner at Battersea Rickshaw on the Square. Enjoyable Indian cuisine, and the waiter and chef did their best to adhere to Kitty’s dietary requirements. Arriving quite late we were probably also the last guests to leave, well, what can you do about those late night licences….?
So, Kitty dragged Bunny over to Westfield for dinner and a movie…part of the story was that Kitty had been shopping there all day and refused to leave. Well, was fun seeing Bridges Wharf from the river – on the overground bridge – and we had a surprisingly delicious Malaysian meal at Jom Makan before seeing Inception, which was fab (and Bunny is not a fan of Leo)! A good night out – and we caught the last train back with seconds to spare
Bunny has just finished reading Bret Easton Ellis‘ latest; Imperial Bedrooms, and is just happy that it was fairly short. Easton Ellis is still going down the route of meaningless indulgences and violence, it has however lost the shock effect from his previous work, like American Psycho and Glamorama. Even the autobiographic reference to Less than Zero and his wink to Elvis Costello seem a tad desperate. Maybe it’s on purpose…
Except from recognising some of our hang out spots during my latest visit to LA I found it less than thrilling. Maybe I am getting jaded too. I do however still snigger slightly thinking about an ex-boyfriend who dutifully called me from a party in Easton Ellis’ showroom flat in NYC…he had been instructed to check out the bathroom for any incriminating evidence. And found a wrench under the sink. Hardly very exciting
Bunny still loves her area…
White cloud and white wine at the Riverfront
Birds on the Thames…not sure what kind tho…

My balcony…still worth every penny…
Somehow absolutely no helispotting today tho…

Nighty night…
Another trip to Skipton…playing it safe staying at the lovely Herriots again…and watching the World Cup canalside…not bad for a business trip, really…
Bunny’s family came visiting…a great chance to revisit some of my favourite sights in London…
