If you have never ready anything by Jo Nesbø, this is a good time to start – that is – as soon as this is translated into English
Panserhjerte (Panzer Heart) is his eight book about Harry Hole. Two women are found dead in Oslo, both having drowned in their own blood and been stabbed in the mouth… Harry is dragged back from a drugged out existence in Hong Kong, and this case that turns out to be his most difficult so far. As well, he is faced with new, tough opponents inside the police force, and even though he has been weakened by his own severe abuse of his body, he must fight several enemies simultaneously.
Nothing beats a good chick-lit book when it’s cold outside….and Fiona Neill is at the higher end of the scale, I still love her Secret Life of a Slummy Mummy, both the Times column and the books… Friends, Lovers and other Indiscretions is in the same category, well written, interesting characters…but it does make me happy I’m not married
As observed in Clapham Junction…Kwik Tan – and if you go too far you’ll be Orange, moha

Bunny has become completely dependent on online grocery shopping – why schlep heavy bags home when man can deliver?
I started out with Sainsbury’s, mainly due to a recommendation. They offer 1 hour delivery slots, which is fab, but unfortunately the availability is not that good – I often have to book delivery a week in advance! The drivers are very friendly and helpful…but will only carry my groceries to the front door. And the online system seems to be a bit random, often items have disappeared from my order!
Tesco: Bunny was tempted by £10 off voucher…was not too impressed with their 2 hour delivery slots, but the availability was good – I actually managed to book delivery for the next day, and they delivered on time…and they do bag-less delivery; the man even carried everything into my kitchen. And he remembered to thank me profoundly for giving him an alternative postcode – Bridges Wharf is not yet live in all sat nav systems, so I normally direct them to the heliport…
Now, is Bunny shallow for preferring the company with the best looking drivers…? She will certainly not be testing Asda
Bunny has had the mixed pleasure of spending a lot of time in North Yorkshire lately…mixed because of the weather, which has made travel to and from Skipton quite tricky…and because of the hotels. One to avoid: The Rendezvous. Talk of back to the 80s..and not in a good way!
Then there’s the Boutique 25…Bunny stayed in room 4; apparently “a contemporary French boudoir”
Yes, the jacuzzi was nice and staff was very helpful….but the shower didn’t work and it felt sort of….moldy….
Anyway, Bunny will be back in Skipton and will keep reviewing the accommodation, plan is to test yet another hotel this time. And the restaurants have been brilliant so far

The first flowers of spring are already out in York Gardens…possibly crocus…not quite as pretty as the Cambridge snowdrops, but still…unfortunately, more snow forecasted for next week…
When Bunny first saw the cover she thought Nick Hornby had written teenage fiction again, like Slam…but thought hey, worth reading anyway. Fortunately Juliet, Naked actually sees him returning to his favourite topic, the music industry. Well written and interesting, though I still think he is better at the male perspective (How to be Good was horrendous). The ending feels a bit abrupt as well…
Bunny will very likely not be celebrating Valentine’s Day, but some heart warming soup is a good idea in February anyway
