Nice wee hole in the wall

SloansAs the nights were still mellow during Bunny’s stay in Glasgow, we opted for some pubs with nice outside areas…Sloans being one; funny backyard location. Actually not sure I would even want to drink inside the pub, but it was a very enjoyable evening indeed :D Sloans is apparently also Glasgows oldest Bar & Restaurant…

Sort of prefered the wacky church bar tho ;)

Boozing in Balloch

BallochFound that the Tullie Inn was the perfect place for me to digest the sights, sitting in their lovely beer garden, sending annoying postcards to friens and family…plus having a glass or two of the perfectly chilled Pinot didn’t hurt either :D

Lochs and firths

Loch LomondSo, having finished sightseeing in Glasgow, Bunny had to make sure she saw at least one loch…and the easiest accessible is Loch Lomond; it really is just a short train journey away. I passed through some pretty weird sounding places on my way there…like Singer and Bowling, plus I thought Charing Cross was in London and Alexandria in Egypt? But it was definitely worth it; very pretty :D Though not quite as pretty as Norway of course ;)

Loch Lomond

I couldn’t quite sing along to these lyrics…was kept company by my true love tho ;)

By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes,
Where the sun shines on Loch Lomond.
Where me and tea tree my true love spent many days
On the banks of Loch Lomond.

Oh, I wish I was in Glasgow…

Glasgow Royal Exchange Square…with some good old friend of mine… And actually, I was!

Glasgow Buchanan Street

Glasgow Gallery of Modert ArtNow, seeing the sights wasn’t really the highest priority, but had to be done. And to be honest, it was fairly quick. Glasgow is not really the place to go to for the sights…drinking and socialising, however, is a whole other matter, but more about that later  :D

One small correction; the Exhibition Centre and the Clyde Arch are quite impressive…the former like a steel version of the Sydney Opera House, wonder if that was intentional?

Also, great landscape once you get out of the city; especially towards the north west…and of course Bunny ventured there too :D

Bonnie Scotland, I adore thee

Glasgow Central StationSo, Bunny’s been to Glasgow, and can confirm that Scottish men are of the silent and strong type, like the hunk who looked after my lovely suitcase while I was waiting for Elf outside the Central Station…

The famous what?

The Famous CockVery childish, I know, but the name of this pub in Islington just really made me laugh ;)
