Ducks on a raft…

Ducks on a raftNow, I’ve seen children playing on rafts…but the sight of a mother duck with her ducklings and a few other associates playing on a piece of driftwood on the Thames just cracked me up…that loopy Taggs Island :D

Once upon a Thames

One again Kingston’s Old London Road failed to impress, but Bunny enjoyed lunch at the riverside as usual…as did the swans methinks… SudOvest is still a favourite tho, even if the locations is not as great…

Ghost!

Twenties GirlMore great chick lit from the author of the Shopaholic series.

Twenties Girl is very girly, very entertaining and perfect for e.g. travelling :D

No man is an island

Taggs IslandThe bridgeView from the bridgeBunny has spent a few nights on Taggs Island…what a weird and wonderful place with all the house boats… (no, not  barges, but houses floating on the river!) Great view from the lounge and terrace tho :D

Tick!

WineBunny has now ticked another item off the “101 Things to do before you leave London” list – and visited Gordon’s Wine Bar, which is supposed to be London’s oldest. As it was a nice day we stayed on the outside terrace on Watergate Walk, but were duly impressed by the quirky inside part as well. Would be perfect for a romantic date ;)

Quidditch and horcruxes

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceHaving read all the books (a couple of times) and followed this phenomenon for over a decade, Bunny of course had to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! I do agree with all the critics saying that this feels more like a cliffhanger to the real finale, but it was still worth seeing.

(By the way, J.K. Rowling’s official website is officially rubbish!)

Life at the cottage…

Haveraavangen

And the view from the family cottage which is located where my grandmother grew up…

Beautiful Framfjord

Framfjord

I just have to share this photo of Framfjord in Arnafjord in Sognefjorden, where my granddad’s from…

Surely too good to be true…?

Barry CallebautThe Guardian reports about a new chocolate that contains 90% less calories than ordinary chocolate…and still tastes good? I don’t really believe it until I see it, but it sounds very promising :)

Also one to watch is Johannes Døderlein who has invented an ecological raw vegan chocolate…”Ekte Sjokolade” – real chocolate (both sites are in Norwegian) – the big discussion is whether it is actually any healthier…

“Fashion saves a lot more lives than doctors.”

BrünoYou have to see Brüno…one word: Funny!

Only felt the movie was too short ;)

Also, great interview in Metro!
