My favourite iconic walk of London…
…starts at Paddington Station and continues down into Hyde Park through Lancaster Gate.
(and; it’s free, all you need is a decent map…or even a tube map)

Which part is actually Kensington Gardens and whether it’s called the Serpentine Lake or River somehow seems less important.

Also fun to watch hopeless tourists trying their hand at rowing, then more or less skilled horsemen and -women and in-line skaters on Rotten Row… (steer clear of the temptation to wander over to Harrods or Kensington
)

The walk then continues through Green Park to Buckingham Palace, into St James’ Park past the Horse Guards Parade and No 10 Downing Street…and takes on it’s most iconic phase at Westminster with Big Ben, the Thames and the London Eye - and you can continue from there by boat of you’re still up for some more sights…or simply have a drink…or for the eager beavers, continue across the Hungeford Bridge back to Embankment and on to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street, or to Leicester Square, Chinatown, Soho and Covent Garden…
