…or were we drinking Pinot Grigio…? Anyhow, great finale to the iconic walk of London…cold white wine in the sun with a great view of the Thames and the buzz on the South Bank, near Hungerford Bridge.
And deffo beats vertical drinking
Light on life in London and the UK

…observed near Liverpool Street station…apparently it is of Bellerophon taming Pegasus…
(Life is too short to dance with ugly men)
So we didn’t…and you are not short of choice of places to go dancing when near Piccadilly Circus and Soho…including the Norwegian girls’ favourite haunt, O’Neill’s in Wardour Street…cheesy music and cheap beer
We still thought this was quite charming entertainment tho…even if tempted to pay him to stop playing
Great hangout in Covent Garden, perfect view of the buzz and free entertainment…yes, so it’s a tourist haunt and the prices are thereafter, but the food was nice, the wine cold and absolutely no parmesan nazi here, note the cheese next to my seafood pasta
I was wrong…they do have the funny horse signals in Hyde Park too…
…starts at Paddington Station and continues down into Hyde Park through Lancaster Gate.
(and; it’s free, all you need is a decent map…or even a tube map)

Which part is actually Kensington Gardens and whether it’s called the Serpentine Lake or River somehow seems less important.

Also fun to watch hopeless tourists trying their hand at rowing, then more or less skilled horsemen and -women and in-line skaters on Rotten Row… (steer clear of the temptation to wander over to Harrods or Kensington
)

The walk then continues through Green Park to Buckingham Palace, into St James’ Park past the Horse Guards Parade and No 10 Downing Street…and takes on it’s most iconic phase at Westminster with Big Ben, the Thames and the London Eye - and you can continue from there by boat of you’re still up for some more sights…or simply have a drink…or for the eager beavers, continue across the Hungeford Bridge back to Embankment and on to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street, or to Leicester Square, Chinatown, Soho and Covent Garden…

Bunny and friends have just tested the new low fat Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia, and Bunny is SO not convinced… The flavour is actually the same, but the consistence is of course…frozen yogurt, not ice cream..and there are far less chocolate chunks too! Since I am more concerned about the sugar content than the fat, I think I will stick with the real thing if given the choice…
Never has the Amateur Transplants song been more relevant, especially with the frequent use of the b-word, the f-word and even the c-word. Does the RMT really believe that ANYONE will have sympathy with their case these days, when it affects everyone else in an already troubled economy so badly? Most people I have talked with today feel they should be glad they even HAVE have jobs…was very tempted to download and play the song going through the barriers earlier…
Also, claiming back the jobs of a couple of co-workers who have been fired for gross misconduct doesn’t really sound very reasonable?
So to add insult to injury, trying to use Transport for London’s alternative route guide, I still keep getting tube schedules…but with the warning that the line may be closed due to strike. Not very well prepared, are we…?
Good wine gladdens a person’s heart…so as I was sort of enjoying my bad mode I only had a Pepsi Max…
…and the fact that they do serve that instead of poor Diet Coke is not the only reason I like Coal, the outdoor tables are in the heart of downtown Wimbledon, so a prime spot for seeing who’s out and about…and the food is very good too, and decently priced.
You don’t get better grilled prawns outside of Portugal
